TimelyUNA Privacy Policy
1. What TimelyUNA does
TimelyUNA is a light-time sextant for exploring the apparent and actual positions of the Sun and other celestial objects. It uses Apple platform capabilities to calculate and visualize astronomical information for the observer.
2. Information used by the app
Location. When you grant Location Services permission, TimelyUNA may use your device's location to calculate educational Sun altitude, azimuth, horizon conditions, and sunrise information for your current observation. The location is processed on the device for these calculations. TimelyUNA does not transmit your latitude or longitude to a TimelyUNA server.
Camera and AR. On supported iPhone and iPad devices, TimelyUNA may request camera access for its augmented-reality light-time navigation features. Camera imagery is used for the AR experience on the device. TimelyUNA does not upload camera images or video to a TimelyUNA server.
Motion and heading. TimelyUNA may use device motion, compass heading, and AR tracking information to align astronomical visualizations with the physical world. These signals are processed for the app's interactive experience and are not transmitted to a TimelyUNA server.
Notifications. If you enable TimelyUNA's sunrise reminder, the app schedules a local notification on your device. Notification scheduling is performed through Apple's local notification system; TimelyUNA does not maintain a remote notification database.
3. Information TimelyUNA stores
TimelyUNA may store app state locally on your device, such as preferences, streak information, collection items, and whether a local sunrise reminder is enabled. This information is stored locally and is not uploaded to TimelyUNA.
4. What TimelyUNA does not collect
- No name, email address, phone number, or account profile is required by TimelyUNA.
- No precise location is transmitted to TimelyUNA.
- No camera photos or video are transmitted to TimelyUNA.
- No advertising identifiers are used by TimelyUNA for tracking.
- No cross-app or cross-site tracking is performed by TimelyUNA.
- No third-party analytics or advertising SDK is used by the current TimelyUNA build.
5. Sharing and third parties
TimelyUNA does not sell, rent, or share user information with advertisers, data brokers, analytics providers, or other third parties for advertising or tracking.
TimelyUNA relies on Apple operating-system services such as Core Location, ARKit, Core Motion, and UserNotifications to provide requested features. Those services are governed by Apple's own terms and privacy practices. Apple may process system-level diagnostics or other information according to the user's device settings and Apple's policies; such processing is separate from data collected by TimelyUNA.
6. Retention and deletion
Because TimelyUNA does not maintain a remote user-data account or database, TimelyUNA has no server-side user profile to retain or delete. Local app data remains on the device until it is removed by the user or the operating system. Removing the app also removes its locally stored app data subject to Apple's platform behavior.
7. Your choices
You can deny or later revoke TimelyUNA's access to Location Services, Camera, and Notifications through Apple's system settings. Features that depend on those permissions may be unavailable when permission is denied.
8. Changes to this policy
If TimelyUNA's data practices change, this policy will be updated before or when those changes take effect. The date at the top of this page identifies the latest revision.
9. Privacy questions
TimelyUNA is developed by Craig Schmelzer under the QuantumPlethora / QuantumRootz project family. For privacy questions or requests concerning TimelyUNA, use the support contact published with the TimelyUNA project website.
